Internal Communication Design for Human Capital Directorate Telkom Indonesia

As part of the Employee Value Proposition & Human Capital Communication team at Telkom Indonesia, I contributed to designing internal communication materials for the Human Capital Directorate.

These communication materials are designed to support the delivery of strategic information, leadership messages, and organizational initiatives to employees across TelkomGroup. The goal is to ensure that key messages from the Human Capital Directorate can be communicated clearly, consistently, and visually engaging for internal audiences.

My role focuses on transforming complex information and strategic messages into clear, structured, and visually compelling communication materials that help employees easily understand organizational updates, programs, and initiatives.

About Human Capital Internal Communication

The Human Capital Directorate plays a crucial role in managing talent, organizational development, and employee engagement within TelkomGroup.

Internal communication materials are developed to support various objectives, including:

  • Communicating strategic initiatives from the Human Capital Directorate

  • Delivering leadership messages to employees

  • Supporting internal campaigns and organizational programs

  • Ensuring information is distributed clearly across TelkomGroup

Effective internal communication is essential to maintain alignment between leadership strategies and employees across different units within the organization.

My Role

  • Designing visual materials for internal communication initiatives

  • Creating executive-level presentation designs for leadership communication

  • Transforming complex information into clear and structured visual formats

  • Ensuring visual consistency with Telkom’s corporate branding guidelines

Design Process

To ensure that the communication materials effectively deliver the intended message, the design process follows a structured workflow.

1. Communication Brief Review

Each project begins with a communication brief from the Human Capital team.
The brief outlines:

  • Communication objectives

  • Key messages from leadership

  • Target audience within the organization

  • Required communication format (presentation, visual content, internal campaign material)

This step helps ensure that the design aligns with the intended communication strategy.

2. Content Structuring

Because internal communication often contains complex information, the next step is structuring the content into a clear and digestible format by organizing:

  • Information hierarchy

  • Key message highlights

  • Supporting visuals and icons

This stage ensures the message is easier to understand for employees.

3. Visual Design Development

After structuring the content, I develop the final visual design by applying:

  • Clear layout hierarchy

  • Corporate branding elements

  • Balanced typography and visual composition

The goal is to create communication materials that are professional, clear, and engaging for internal audiences.

Tools

The following tools were used in the design process:

  • Microsoft PowerPoint — Main tool for executive presentation and internal communication design

  • Figma — Supporting tool for layout design and visual asset preparation

  • Adobe Photoshop — Image editing and visual asset enhancement

  • Adobe Illustrator — Vector graphics and icon adjustments

These tools help ensure efficiency and consistency in delivering professional communication materials for the Human Capital Directorate.
